Using WebDAV to arrange Confluence pages

Using "Space Admin" to move pages around in the MediaWiki Archive space can be a bit slow. If you're an advanced user and want to try out using WebDAV to change the structure of page hierarchy, here's the URL you'll need to know in order to connect...

This isn't something you put in your web browser, though. Instead, you use a "WebDAV client" - both Windows and MacOS have one built-in.

For a Mac

1. In Finder, hit Command-K (or pull down the Go menu and click "Connect to Server").
2. In the dialog, paste the Confluence URL above and click "Connect".
3. Login with your OpenMRS ID and password.
4. Now you'll have a new "webdav" drive in Finder which you can drag and drop files to and from.

For Windows XP

1. Double-click on the My Network Places icon on your Desktop or from your Start button.
2. Click on "Add a Network Place" from the Network Tasks menu on the left side of the window and click Next.
3. Select the "Choose Another Network Location" option and click Next.
4. In the Internet or Network Address field, paste the Confluence URL above.
5. Login with your OpenMRS ID and password.
6. All set! An Explorer window will appear for you new connection to Confluence and a shortcut is now in My Network Places.
