Since 2007, OpenMRS has enjoyed participating in Google Summer of Code. Google’s goal with GSOC is to help open source projects like ours to attract new contributors. It’s a great program: Many of our community leaders first joined our community through a past GSOC year. Coding for OpenMRS is a great way to practice your coding skills, get to know our community, and help benefit people in countries around the world using our Medical Record System!
