OpenMRS Documentation
Welcome to the OpenMRS Wiki!
We're thrilled to have you here! The OpenMRS Wiki is our community-maintained treasure trove of knowledge. It's where we document everything about our software and our journey. Whether you're new or a long-time contributor, this space is for you.
Our volunteers work hard to keep this space up to date, but we welcome everyone to pitch in—fix errors, update information, ask questions, or share insights!
Navigating the Wiki
The Wiki is divided into a few key spaces, each serving a different purpose:
Documentation (Current space): This is where you’ll find essential information about getting started, our design process, security details, and an overview of OpenMRS.
Projects: Interested in ongoing projects? This space tracks all current initiatives, including timelines, who's working on them, and their current status.
Resources: From fellowships to events, this space holds valuable community information. Head over here to learn more about how to connect and contribute.
Archives: Curious about where it all began? This is our history hub, containing details about the evolution of OpenMRS over the years.
Feel free to navigate through these spaces to find what you need. Whether you’re here to learn, contribute, or simply explore, there’s something for everyone.
Access and Contributing
You can browse the OpenMRS Wiki without signing in. However, if you want to edit or add content, we require manual access to avoid spam. If you’d like edit/write permissions, simply contact the Help Desk, and we’ll get you set up.
Don’t have an OpenMRS ID yet? No worries! You can join our community here and create your ID. If you’re signing in with Atlassian ID, make sure to use the format: your_openmrsid@id.openmrs.org
.
For Newcomers
If you’re new to OpenMRS, we highly recommend checking out our Guide for the New and Curious. It’s a great place to get up to speed on what we’re all about.
