She’s best known for creating Google Code-in, the world’s first global initiative to involve pre-university students in open source software development, and receiving an O’Reilly Open Source Award in 2010 for her work to grow the Google Summer of Code program and her contributions to Humanitarian open source projects. She is currently a Senior Principal Program Manager at Red Hat, focusing on the CentOS project ecosystem.
Eric Jan-Manders
Eric Manders a health scientist (informatics) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Center for Global Health, Division of global HIV and Tuberculosis. He joined CDC in 2012. As a member of the health information systems team he provides technical assistance and guidance to improve the quality and use of health information in CDC country programs supported through the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR – http://www.pepfar.gov). Before joining CDC, he was on the faculty of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Department of Biomedical informatics. In that role he worked to implement OpenMRS in Mozambique.

Larsen, MD, FACP, is medical director of Meaningful Use at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). He leads ONC's work on quality policy, measurement, and improvement, including clinical decision support and registries. He serves on a number of U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and national groups coordinating measure policy and measure sets. Prior to working for the federal government, Dr. Larsen was chief medical informatics officer and associate medical director at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota. His research includes health care financing for people living in poverty, computer systems to support clinical decision making, and health literacy. In Minneapolis, Dr. Larsen was also the medical director for the Center for Urban Health, a hospital-community collaboration to eliminate health disparities.
Neal Lesh
Neal Lesh is the Chief Strategy Officer of Dimagi, Inc. He received a PhD in computer science from the University of Washington in 1998 and a Master in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. He currently helps lead the CommCare project, an open source mobile application to support extension workers in low-income countries. He co-founded Spark MicroGrants in 2009, an organization that facilitates and funds community-led development. He helps organize the ict4chw online discussion group.
Alvin Marcelo
Dr. Alvin B. Marcelo is a general and trauma surgeon by training who is currently executive director of the Asia eHealth Information Network (www.aehin.org). Prior to this, he served as senior vice-president and chief information officer of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). As the director of the University of the Philippines Manila National Telehealth Center and chief of the Medical Informatics Unit, Dr. Marcelo established the Master of Science in Health Informatics program and conducted local and international research in the field of eHealth and health information systems development. He took his postdoctoral fellowship in medical informatics at the National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland with research interests in telepathology, mobile computing, and bibliometric analysis of MEDLINE content. Dr Marcelo also manages the International Open Source Network for ASEAN+3, a centre of excellence in free and/or open source software established by UNDP, and advises the Community Health Information Tracking System (or CHITS) , a Stockholm Challenge finalist in the health category in 2006. He is the Philippine representative to the Asia Pacific Association for Medical Informatics (APAMI) and the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA). Dr Marcelo is certified in the governance of enterprise IT (CGEIT - www.isaca.org), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF - www.opengroup.org), Archimate, and COBIT5 Implementation.

Kayode Odusote
As Director of Human Resources Development of the West African Health Organisation, he worked with IntraHealth to implement iHRIS (an open source human resource information system) in West African countries from 2009. His interest in use of open source application for sustainable use of eHealth to improve health systems in developing countries led to the organization of a workshop to build regional capacity for iHRIS, DHIS2 and OpenMRS in Accra,Ghana in 2010. During the workshop, the interoperability of the three applications was achieved using SDMX-HD standard. His current interest in OpenMRS is its implementation to support Health System improvement in facilities where there is no IT personnel.
Vivek Singh
Vivek, Principal Consultant at ThoughtWorks, started off as a developer working for business clients of his organisation. He has spent most of his career at ThoughtWorks. He created an open source project for automated testing of .NET applications called white. Over last 6 years he switched to working exclusively on projects related to social development. During this he was architect on some notable open source projects namely MOTECH and Mifos. He started off Bahmni which is based on Open Source EMR and Hospital system based on OpenMRS. He played the role of product manager and architect for it.
Ben Wolfe
Ben initiated development on OpenMRS in 2005. His work first focused on migrating the AMPATH program in Kenya to the platform as the early adopters. He spent the next seven years developing OpenMRS into a globally reusable platform. While managing the API Ben also cultivated the growing community of developers locally, in the partnering organizations, and volunteers around the world. Ben is currently working as a Senior Consultant at Fusion Alliance in Indianapolis.
