Background
OpenMRS has a mechanism to map concepts to external sources (concept_map tables); however, OpenMRS does not yet have a means to map metadata to external sources.
Design
This could be done by creating a separate mapping mechanism for metadata. Alternatively, this could be done by enhancing the existing concept mapping tables to allow for links to metadata.
