How to Participate

Add your name to the list on this wiki page (with any comments about your availability). If you want to join after the sprint has started just join the IRC channel mentioned above and say hello.

The general process:

  1. Pick a ticket from the available tickets in the top-left of the dashboard.

    • Make sure it does not depend on a ticket that is incomplete.

  2. If you have any questions about the ticket, ask on the group chat

  3. Do the ticket

  4. Commit code and click "Committed Code" (preferred) or attach a patch and click "Request Code Review"

About

The goal of this sprint is to get an alpha release of the occ module and server ready for real world testing.

One minute overview

The occ is a mechanism to share concepts between different installations of openmrs. Users push the concepts they create up to the central occ server. The occ server aggregates them and makes concepts available for download to users via their openmrs concept dictionary interface. Users can search the occ server concepts independently or while creating concepts. A user can choose to download/import a concept from the occ into their local instance and use it immediately.

The goal of the occ is for it to be crowd-sourced. The concepts are built up organically as users create+upload them.
