Internships: GSoC 2018 |

Internships: Rails Girls Summer of Code | - First of all, as you know we got 195 applications and we are able to fund 9 only at the moment. We do have some applications in the waiting list though. And we've informed mentors of those applications as well. But unfortunately, there is no team for OpenMRS project in that list. So, funding is one of the main reason on why we are not being able to select the teams for each project. - Second, as specified in the mentors guide, RGSoC's selection process works bit differently than other programs. Usually applications goes through 3 stages of selection process by our internal reviewers committee and core selection committee team, including interviews before they get selected. I see that you did signed off and faved an application. As per my data, one of the team Vinnares was in top 100 but didn't make it through the final stage as they didn't have high rating like other teams. - Third and usual problem which happens with many applications is they don't meet with our eligibility criteria specified here. So I would say it's not one reason but rather a combination of above specified reasons on why any of the team who applied for your project didn't make it to the program. I hope my email makes things bit clear to you. And I hope OpenMRS will participate again in our next year's edition. | |
