OpenMRS Social Hour
We've always considered the OpenMRS Community as an extended family. And one of the most important things a "family" can do is spend time with each other. So, join us for the next OpenMRS Social Hour!
Who's Invited
Everyone in the OpenMRS community is welcome to join @Paul Biondich and @Michael Downey (and others) in a virtual online social hour.
What We'll Do
We'll spend time chatting, getting to know you, talking about news and happenings within the OpenMRS community, or any other topics that we all find interesting. It's a completely informal event designed to spend more time with each other talking about things that matter.
Where We'll Meet
To start, we'll meet online at http://appear.in/openmrs - no special software is needed. If you have a webcam, microphone, and speakers, you can join in via video and audio if your web browser uses the open WebRTC standard (currently Firefox and Chrome).
If you don't have a camera, or don't would rather just use audio or text chat, you can load the meeting space athttps://appear.in/openmrs?video=off.
When We'll Meet
To start, we'll try a few different days of the week and different times of the day. We want to figure out what works best for as many people as possible and will be asking for your feedback. Here are the initial dates:Â
Monday 7 July 2014 from 12:00 - 13:00 UTC
Wednesday 16 July 2014 from 16:00 to 17:00 UTC
More to be announced!
Questions?
If you have questions or feedback about the event, drop us a line at community@openmrs.org. We want this hour to be enjoyable for everyone, and are willing to do whatever we can to help make that possible. We hope to see you at the next social hour!
Thanks to those who attended our first event!
Thanks to everyone who joined us at our first event: @Alexis Duque, @Darius Jazayeri, @Nyoman Ribeka, @Rafał Korytkowski, @Daniel Kayiwa, @Weihua Cheung, @Paul Biondich, @Michael Downey, @Rahul Akula, and a few other people who had technical trouble and we couldn't see. We'd like everyone who participated (and those who weren't able to do so!) to take a moment to fill out this brief survey to help us improve the next social hour. It should only take a minute or so of your time. Thanks, and we hope to spend more time with you on 16 July!
