Actors
Physician: examine patients, obtain medical histories, diagnose illnesses, or prescribe and administer treatment for people suffering from injury or disease.
Radiologist: is a physician who has specialized training in obtaining and interpreting medical images, which makes him or her an imaging expert.
Radiographer: is a medical professional who creates medical images of the human anatomy to aid radiologists and other doctors diagnose and treat illness and injury.
Modality: equipment or probes used to acquire images of the body (CR, MR, CT, US or NM).
Scheduler: staff who schedule orders.
Use Cases
Create order: This use case allows you to create a radiology order indicating the type of procedure and priority, according to the patient examination.
Schedule order: This use case allows you to schedule the date of the performance of radiologic procedures requested by the referring physician in the order. Furthermore, to assign the specialist in charge of diagnosing the requested study.
Create study: This use case allows the acquisition of patient images in the modality.
Create report: This use case allows you to create reports with a diagnosis of a patient, according to the results of imaging studies performed.
View image: This use case allows you to view digital medical images of a patient, that can be manipulated by adjusting brightness and contrast, measurements, zooming, etc.
