Based on self-reporting by implementers in our global community, we calculate OpenMRS is used in production in:

For many different clinical areas, from general outpatient / walk-in centers and primary care, to many different kinds of Specialist/Consultant Clinics, to Inpatient Department Care, to highly specialized treatment centres like oncology. For an interactive map built with data from some of our implementation sites, visit: https://atlas.openmrs.org . More details on the Atlas project are here. However, as of 2024, the Atlas module is not as actively maintained or used by implementers. This is something we hope to improve soon. For now, much of our useage and site number collection is manual.
