OpenMRS Quality Assurance Support Team
About
The Quality Assurance Support team is a group of people who have come together with the common vision of improving the quality of OpenMRS products that are used within the community and in the vast implementations across the world. The team is achieving it's mission by improving the QA framework through providing guidelines, best practices and automation to establish a proactive and systematic QA process within the community aimed at preventing bugs and releasing products to better end-user experience.
Current Status VERY ACTIVE
How does this project fit in with the strategy?
The work Quality Assurance support team does, plays a large part to ensure that OpenMRS products can be trusted and reliable so as to encourage sustainability. As result the team does not work in isolation but engages with other squads, teams and implementors in the community to ensure they have quality assurance in place. All the activities the QA support team undertakes aims at fulfilling the following goals:
- Community-led.
- Sustainable and robust testing processes and framework.
- Foster a culture of quality assurance in developer and implementer practices.
- To produce high-quality OpenMRS products.

How to Contribute
The roadmap to getting started with OpenMRS' Quality Support team varies based on the utility of your role, technical or non-technical. The skillsets of those two categories, and their respective onboarding roadmaps, are listed below.
Both groups should start here:
This project home page has lots of essential content. Familiarize yourself with the content and hyperlinks on this page. Then, review this 30 minute video that will introduce you to the OpenMRS Quality Assurance process, tools, and framework.
Technical Contributors
Technical contributors include code reviewers and developers.
Before you begin contributing as a technical team member, please make sure to begin by reviewing the QA Framework Documentation. Make sure you review all documents listed within this folder also, not just the home page! You will find frontend and technical documentation, and information about test cases.
Non-Technical Contributors
Non-technical contributors include manual testers, technical writers, and project mentors.
Before you begin contributing to the team, look through all the pages within the Project Management Resources folder. This will include integration and prioritization guides.
