Iteration 5 Retrospective Notes
22.Aug.2013
Participants: Darius, Lee, Rafal, Daniel
What Went Well
Got some stories done. (I left for a week, and came back to see forward progress!)
Several consecutive build failures with module-not-started, but in the end the test was "right", there was a (tricky) bug.
The long-quarantined UI test that actually does some real UI testing seems to finally be reliably green.
Lee got to 1.0 of the refactored test framework
CI is green now :) +1
DK: This time round i have been on refapp for sufficient time to get more comfortable with things :)
DK: I also start to see the refapp getting in shape. Knowing where we are going.
What Went Not-So-Well
CI-STG is very slow, it takes over half an hour to build openmrs-core
Lost Achint and Breeze
People (including me) late to standup. Running over our 15-minute allotted time.
Spending too much time trying to figure out CI failures, not enough access to the server (db, logs)
UI Testing is progressing rather slowly.
Other Things To Bring Up
It's hard to get a cohesive sense of "the team" with such constant turnover
"It's strange to jump in in the middle of an iteration" -RK
"Too many bamboo failures" -DK
"When I (re)joined I had to completely redo my dev environment [which took a few hours]" -RK
Action Items
Get back on the same schedule for iterations and community dev lead (DJ emailed CP. Need to ensure this is followed up.)
Stop pulling Daniel off of the RefApp work after a few days each time.
Elevate priority of ticket about CI-STG being slow ITSM-3609 (needs followup)
Rafal to request shell access to ci-stg.
